7:07 pm	I'm still around.. So, it's been a while since I updated.  I guess this is where I should pretend to gasp and say something to the effect of "I didn't realize it had been so long" yadda yadda yadda.  I knew it had been a while since I updated anything, and truthfully, I forgot about LJ.  I'm not so good with the blogs, and this kinda got forgotten, especially considering I really only made this so I could check on some stuff that I couldn't see without an account.  So I can say I will try to remember to update more often because I know my legions of adoring fans demand it of me, but I if I were you I wouldn't hold my breath.... 11:01 pm	Gah, do I feel old.. because my son just had his tenth birthday.  And since I had him days before I turned 20, that means I'm officially getting older.  I don't feel like I should be 30, you know?  30..that's such a big freakin number.  In my 20's I can still pretend at being a kid, but with 30 comes too much responsibility.  30 sounds like....youth gone by, mortgages, IRAs, regular bedtimes...Before I realize it, 40 will be knocking on my door. *sigh* Current Mood: gloomy (Comment on this)

6:25 pm	New Kitty I still have almost NO one in my LJ, but in order to keep from being removed from the few  lists I have managed to get myself on, I will try to remember to update on occasion.  I went to my sister's this past weekend.  She moved to Lake Charles, LA about 6 years ago, and I rarely see her since.  I decided to make a weekend trip to go see her and and her three kids it actually turned into a 4 day trip.  I came back Tuesday with a new member of the family, a three month old kitten.  He was half starved and covered in fleas, and you could tell he had been weaned way too early (he does the kneading --I call it the 'Kitty dance'--and he buries his face in the dark to sleep while he kneads).  But he is beautiful.  And he's all mine.  I bounded with him quite well while i was down there, and driving back with him was no problem at all.  He slept most of the way and didn't complain once.  He and my older cat, George are getting along quite well--Kitten wasn't too sure about George at first, but George was pretty excited about kitten--and George bathes and plays with him quite a bit, even after less than 2 days together.  He's had his flea bath, which of course he hated, and he has a flea collar and he has had no issues about the litter box.  All in all, he has adapted to indoor life and having a family quite well.  George is my son's cat, he is about 13 months old, and my son picked out his name when we got him.  Since this is my kitty, I got to pick out the name, and I went with Remus.  Of course, I had to, since I have the HP disease (not obsession, never obsession).  I love my new kitty. 8:50 pm	OK, so I am brand new here.. I'm a LJ newbie.  Yup, a complete newbie.  Apparently I signed up for this account some time ago, didn't post on it, and then forgot about it.  So, here I am, trying to figure my way through the maze that is LiveJournal.  I have lurked on this site for quite some time, but only recently decided to become a member (unless you count that one insane moment I must have had to have initially signed up for the account) because a member I loved to lurk on friendlocked her account.   So, in order to beg her to add me, I have to actually be on here.  For a person who is so shy and weird about socializing, I certainly do spend a lot of time signing up for online social spots.  Right now my thing is IMDb.  I was on it for a while a few years ago, but I got bored with it and left my account alone--I have a history of doing that, as you will see--and recently picked it back up again.  I've signed up for MySpace, but let my account go stagnant, CherryTap and did the same.  Noticing a pattern here?  I really have NO clue what to say anymore.  I'm not exciting, so I won't update much, I don't guess...who knows? *shrugs* Anyway, if anyone is interested in helping a newbie set up stuff like user pics and the like, I would love to hear from you.
